Weekend market and Thimphu sightseeing.

Day 3 : 23 Dec Sun
Thimphu to Trongsa (8 hrs)

Day 4 : 24 Dec Mon
Witness the Trongsa Tsechu.

Day 5 : 25 Dec Tue
Witness Trongsa Tsechu.

Day 6 : 26 Dec Wed
Witness the Trongsa Tsechu . In the afternoon, drive to Bumthang (3hrs)

Day 7 : 27 Dec Thur
Bumthang sightseeing.

Day 8 : 28 Dec Fri
Bumthang sightseeing or day trip to Ura village.

Day 9 : 29 Dec Sat
Drive from Bumthang to Punakha(8 hrs)

Day 10 :30 Dec Sun
Punakha sightseeing. Drive to Thimphu in the afternoon

Day 11 : 31 Dec Mon
Thimphu sightseeing. In the evening you can join a Bhutanese countdown to new year, though the Bhutanese New Year is celebrated sometime in February/March as per the Lunar Calendar. 1st of January is widely celebrated in Thimphu.

Day 12: 1 Jan 2001 Tue
This will be a very quite and unique New Year. You will be celebrating in Monasteries by lighting Butter lamps for good fortune and luck.

Drive to Paro

Day 14 : 3 Jan 2001 Thur
Depart to Calcutta or Bangkok
